Premiership tips – week #15

27 Nov

As mentioned previous, last weeks initial thoughts proved successful, with 4 of the 5 bets I noted down coming good! Oh well, we’ll try again and have got a good couple of bets for starters at an our old favourite Craven Cottage.

Fulham v Birmingham

After an excellent season last year, Birmingham have been a bit sluggish this year and are hovering over the relegation zone. However the home win over Chelsea last week will give them a big boost and they probably have been a tad unlucky with some of their results.

Fulham however have flattered to deceive and after a seemingly good start they have since gone in free fall, mainly due to a lack of strikers.

Andy Johnson has returned to the injury table and despite the quality of Dempsey, a low scoring game looks on the card here.

Will this and Birmingham’s away form a half time draw looks good plus I think a set piece maybe the best option for opening the scoring, so a header at 4/1 is worth a dabble.

1.5 points – Half Time result – draw @ 11/10 (Stan James)

0.5 points – First Goal Method – Header @ 4/1 (Bet365)

Bolton v Blackpool

A return to betting on my favourite seasiders in Blackpool, and a pretty much no brainer on goals, goals, goals for me.

Despite letting me down against West Ham with a unbelievable 0-0, Bolton are current flavour of the month and both teams look prime to attack from the start.

A goal for each side looks inevitable.

2 points – Both teams to score @ 8/13 (Bet Fred)

Newcastle v Chelsea

Chelsea are supposed to be a club in crisis and so backing them to get an away win against an impressive Newcastle this season may seem risky.

However looking deeper into this, Barton finally lost his rag and is suspended for his slap on Pederson, and so they are weaker for this.

Also Newcastle’s home form is very suspect and so when you can get 8/11 on Chelsea, you have to take it.

2 points – Chelsea @ 8/11 (Bet Fred)
