Premiership tips – round #4

10 Sep

As promised round 4 tips are here and I’m like a kid in a sweet shop with the number of decent looking selections today.

A couple I’ve discarded are Bolton to get something at half time against Arsenal. The 2 banks of 4 plus a possible fifth man in midfield could stifle the Gunners but after my lucky break last time, I will pass on this bet.
Also the evens money on offer for Man U on the exchanges to beat Everton is tempting but I think I have better on offer.

So, time to bash the bookies again (and not just Bet365 this time!)

Fulham v Wolves

This fixture involves a couple of teams who have started the campaign well, and we hope the form of 2 players continue.
I’ve not had great success on the blog with goalscorer bets but I’m gonna break away from my fav bets to hopefully add some Wonga to the bank.

I’ve mentioned earlier that Etuhu is looking to be in more attacking positions now and was shocked when I could get 8/1 at Bet365 on Thursday night for him to score anytime in this fixture. That’s now gone (5/1 with them) but 7/1 elsewhere is still available and looks just as good.
Also in form is Ebanks-Blake, who was Eblanks-Blake last season after an impressive return in the Championship the year before. 10/3 on him to score also looks worth a nibble this Saturday.

0.5 pts – Anytime scorer – Ebanks-Blake @ 10/3 (William Hill)
0.5 pts – Anytime scorer – Etuhu @ 8/1 (Bet365)

West Brom v Tottenham

Another case of a missed price here, and this time I didn’t get the 3/1 on offer last night. However with the injury news from the Spurs camp, the punters are backing the Baggies now.
A shorter price of 14/5 still looks ok to take, especially as West Brom have done ok apart from the Chelsea game using their 4-2-3-1 formation.
I’m also a fan of Fortune, who did well in his first spell at the Hawthorns.
Spurs didn’t cope with Wigan under this formation and West Brom are similar if not better than them.

More upset for the wheeler dealer?

1 point – West Brom to win @ 14/5 (Coral)

Newcastle v Blackpool

Finally, a Premiership weekend wouldn’t be complete for me without a Blackpool corner bet, so here we go again.
These two were pretty much on the same level last year, all be it Newcastle were the best team in the Championship.
However, Blackpool have shown they won’t give up there attacking style, and so the chances of them coming out of the blocks at St James Park must be high.
People seem to think the Toon have adapted themselves well back in the big time, dazzled by that 6-0 win over Villa but I’m not completely convinced yet.
Should be a good game and hopefully another first corner win for me.

1 points – First corner – Blackpool @ 11/8 (Bet365)
