World Cup 2010 – Day #15 – Group H

24 Jun

I fear that one of the better sides at this World Cup could go out. If only Chile had taken their chances…….

Spain v Chile

After Spain came up against the stubborn defensive setups of Switzerland and Honduras, they could well be pleased to play a team as pleasing on the eye as they are.

The problem is that despite the fact that Chile have 6 points on the board, they could be removed from the competition if Spain get the win they need and the Swiss gain a win by a couple of goals to edge them out.

Chile like to attack, and Spain could well take advantage of the space behind they high back line, hitting them on the break. I fancy a couple of offside and corner bets again, in what should be a cracking match.

1 point each Chile to win First Corner @ 12/5 (VCbet) and Last Corner @ 5/2 (Bet365)

1 point First Offside team – Spain @ 23/20

Honduras v Switzerland

Honduras have been playing as expected, blocking out the opposition but not quite having enough to convert chances. Switzerland hold the record now for time spent playing without conceding in the World Cup, so another stalemate looks the obvious choice here.

However, Switzerland do need a win and by a couple of goals at least, so with this fact I fancy them to score but maybe give Honduras one or two more chances than normal, hoping they can convert one.

1 point on Both teams to score @ 6/5  (Bet365)
