World Cup 2010 – Day #7 tips

16 Jun

Argentina v South Korea

Both these teams won their opening games but will be wary that qualification is not guaranteed, and need to get something from this game.

Argentina are favourites and have a slight bit of value in the 1/2 price but I think I can get something a bit better.

Looking how the teams played in the first games, Korea could trouble the Argentine defense, especially down the right if Gutierrez plays.

With that in mind, I’m gonna take both teams to score and also maybe Park Ji-Sung to take advantage down the left with a goal.

1 point Both teams to score @ 6/4 (William Hill)

0.5 Park Ji-Sung to score anytime @ 9/1 (Extrabet)

Greece v Nigeria

Nigeria are strong favourites for this after the Greeks collapsed against South Korea. It may need a tactical change to effect this one but with Nigeria’s rigid 4-4-2 formation, this could turn into another stalemate.

However going to try another corner bet, as Greece forced the most against the Koreans, and could be their best source to grab a goal.

1 point Greece to gain more corners @ 11/8 (Boyles)

Mexico v France

No one likes the French, or fancies them to get out of Group A. I wanted to reserve judgement until I’d seen them and dispite the poor game against Uruguay, think it might be worth take them to trouble Mexico.

Mexico played well in the opener but failed to take chances when they should and were lucky to get an equaliser.

As such, I think Ribery and co can take advantage and score at least one to win the game.

1.5 point France to win @ 11/8 (Coral)
