World Cup 2010 – Day #3 tips

13 Jun

Slovenia v Algeria

After England and USA shared the spoils yesterday, these 2 teams will look to take a surprise lead in the group with victory in the first game of the day.

Looking at the setup of both teams and the poor form of Algeria coming into the finals, the Slovenians looks good favourites.

Quite fancy Dedic to score today and Slovenia to win this one by a couple of goals.

1 point Dedic to score anytime @  11/4 (Paddy Power)

1 point on  Slovenia @ 13/10 (William Hill)

Ghana v Serbia

This game starts off proceedings in Group D, in what looks like it could be a tricky group. Ghana will miss Essien but should still give a good account of themselves against the much fancied Serbians.

I fancied Serbia with Montenegro in the last World Cup and they left me with egg on my face, so I will not be jumping on that bandwagon just yet.

However I expect a tight game, as such will take a look at the goal on 30 minutes or more mark, with both teams looking to check each other out for starters.

1 point first goal on 30 mins or more @ 21/20 (Bet365)

Germany v Austrailia

A big test for the Aussies to start off their World Cup, and could show whether they have got what it takes to make it out the group.

A similar squad to 4 years ago, Cahill and Kewell are the stars which will look to nick a goal or 2. However I don’t think they will have enough to breach an organised German side, even without Ballack.

The 1/2 on offer for Germnay looks good value, but gonna try and get with the Germans and a clean sheet.

1 point Germany to win to nil @ 13/10 (Boyles)
