World Cup 2010 – Day #2 tips – England v USA

12 Jun

Party’s and Bar-B-Q’s have been planned for months now, with most England supporters spotting the chance to party like it’s 1990 again, and look forward to a successful World Cup campaign.

Council’s across the country have done their best to de-Chav their neighbourhoods by banning flags decorating in certain areas but the lucky pants will be on and we’ll all be dancing around like Sir Bobby in Turin hoping for a good start on the way  to glory.

Beers stocked, telly balanced on some plastic boxs with a tea towel shade for us to see, what can we expect from the game?

At odds of 1/2 you’d expect an England victory, and there will be plenty lumping onto that. Not for me though, and the pesimist in me thinks there maybe more of a twist than a straight England win in this one, even though I hope for a easy win.

The pace of Lennon should worry the USA and I was going to have Lennon to be first player fouled but having been tipped in the Racing Post, the price has gone.

So instead I’m going for both teams to score as clean sheets are pretty alien to England of late. However Ledley King stepping into defense could be a good thing, and will have a nibble on the 20/1 for him to be man of the match and also 33/1 on first goal with possible refund if Rooney scores during the game at Paddy Power.

OK, time to get the barbie out and tune those vocal cords……..COME ON ENGEEERRRLAND!!!! (and King).

1 point on both teams to score @ 11/10 (Paddy Power)

0.5 point on Ledley King to be Man of the Match @ 20/1 (Paddy Power)

0.5 point on Ledley King to score first @ 33/1 (Paddy Power) REFUND if Rooney scores
